Sainsbury’s has brought in a new Nectar rule – in a huge change to the loyalty scheme across stores nationwide. The move from Sainsbury’s, which is rivalled by Tesco, Morrisons, Asda, Lidl, Aldi and more, could save shoppers £150.
Shoppers will be able to access personalised ‘Your Nectar Prices’ at the tills from Friday, July 25. Your Nectar Prices are personalised discounts in the Nectar app that you can get as well as regular Nectar Prices.
They are based on the things you buy the most and from next week, on Friday, all digitally registered Nectar customers can enjoy these discounts across supermarket tills by simply “unlocking” Your Nectar Prices in the Nectar app. This is in addition to customers already using Your Nectar Prices via SmartShop, Sainsburys.co.uk and the grocery app.

It could help shoppers save £150 a year on their grocery bills, Sainsbury’s said. Shoppers will receive up to 10 personalised offers based on their buying habits. Mark Given, chief marketing, data and sustainability officer at Sainsbury’s, said: “We’re leading the way by making loyalty personal.
“Shoppers want to feel recognised and rewarded and while Nectar Prices are for everyone, we know our customers love an offer that is made just for them.
“That’s exactly what Your Nectar Prices delivers – it’s about giving customers those extra savings on the products they love and buy most.”
You can add Nectar to your Sainsbury’s Groceries account. You only need to do this once. Look out for Your Nectar Price items whilst you browse. They’ll be clearly marked with a Your Nectar Price label, Sainsbury’s says on its website.
Then, get lower prices on Your Nectar Price items. You’ll see how much you’ve saved once you’ve checked out, Sainsbury’s says.
You can now access Your Nectar Prices at Sainsbury’s supermarket checkouts, as well as via SmartShop, Sainsburys.co.uk and the grocery app. Ensure you have “unlocked” Your Nectar Prices in the Nectar app or website to get savings on Your Nectar Price items.
