Rumor Roundup: Night of Champions status, Adam Copeland & Christian, WWE Late Night, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that — rumors. None of this has been confirmed as fact, it’s just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. We track rumor accuracy in a weekly feature called Rumor Look Back you can find here. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Fightful Select asked about WWE possibly cancelling or moving Night of Champions in the wake of the U.S. bombing Iran and while they haven’t received an official response they did get word that the company is “monitoring the situation closely.”
  • PW Insider, meanwhile, says those already in Riyadh doing production work and setup for the show have not halted that work. Talents have also not been advised of any possible changes at least as of now but if a decision is made it would have to be before Wednesday because that is the travel day.
  • In a Fightful Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp said Adam Copeland and Christian reuniting for a match is still planned but it may not be for All In Texas. Christian apparently wants to fully “flesh out” things with The Patriarchy first.
  • A recent trademark filing from WWE, for something called “WWE Late Night,” has led to speculation they could be launching a new late night show, digital or otherwise.
  • Bryan Alvarez says the Harley Cameron injury from the match with Megan Bayne was actually a work to cover for a previously scheduled surgery.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you’d like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. And check our weekly Rumor Look Back here to keep track of how often rumors turn out to be correct.
