Paul Mullin fell out of favour in the second half of 2024/25, not featuring in the league since late January.
It has now emerged this week that Wigan Athletic want to sign Mullin, with Wrexham willing to let the player leave.
The striker, who is under contract until 2027, may be allowed to depart on a free transfer to make a deal easier owing to his higher wages.
