Wigan Athletic eye deal for Paul Mullin

Paul Mullin fell out of favour in the second half of 2024/25, not featuring in the league since late January.

It has now emerged this week that Wigan Athletic want to sign Mullin, with Wrexham willing to let the player leave.

The striker, who is under contract until 2027, may be allowed to depart on a free transfer to make a deal easier owing to his higher wages.

Wrexham interested in midfield duo

We revealed on Saturday that Wrexham are interested in two midfielders going into the summer.

Tom Lawrence, who was linked earlier this year, is still of genuine interest to the club ahead of his Rangers deal expiring.

Elsewhere, Charlie Savage of League One side Reading is a player that the Welsh outfit would like to sign.

Wrexham looking at Fulham’s Tom Cairney

Another midfielder that the club are thought to have some interest in is Fulham’s Tom Cairney.

Cairney could become Wrexham’s highest-paid star if they are able to get a deal over the line.

He is out of contract with the Premier League side next month, but they are trying to convince the 34-year-old to agree fresh terms.

Wrexham want to sign Callum Robinson after he scored 12 goals in the Championship last season.

Elsewhere, the club like Ollie Tanner and Isaak Davies, who are also on the books of the Welsh outfit.

Now, Cardiff City chairman has spoken on transfers, suggesting that some players could leave.
