What are Scottie Scheffler’s odds to win another major in 2025?

Ciaran Doyle takes a look at Scottie Scheffler’s odds to win the US Open and Open Championship in 2025.

Scottie Scheffler won his third career major championship at Quail Hollow on Sunday. He finished at -11, winning the PGA Championship by five clear shots over the field.

For a player of his caliber, Scheffler won’t be satisfied with just one major in 2025. Luckily, he has two more opportunities later this year at the US Open and The Open Championship.

DraftKings Sportsbook has you covered with Scheffler’s odds to win both tournaments.

Scottie Scheffler To Win 2025 US Open (+400)

It should come as no surprise that Scheffler is the favorite to win the 2025 US Open at Oakmont Country Club in Texas. The tournament will take place from June 12th-15th. Scheffler has already won in his home state of Texas in 2025, winning the CJ Cup Byron Nelson in May by eight shots.

He struggled at this event at Pinehurst last year, finishing T41 with a final score of +8. He will be looking for a much better performance this year to potentially have a win at three of the four majors. He has experience at this course, as he played at Oakmont in the 2016 US Open. He was in the very early stages of his career and missed the cut. If Scheffler could somehow pull this off, he would have an opportunity for the career grand slam at The Open Championship.

He is followed by Rory McIlroy as the second favorite at +600 odds. Two-time major champion in 2024 Xander Schauffele is the third favorite at +1100, followed by Bryson DeChambeau at +1200. It will be a stacked field, but Scheffler’s form is heating up. He now has two wins in the month of May and will have his eyes set on the next major championship.

Scottie Scheffler To Win 2025 Open Championship (+450)

Scheffler has never come close to winning The Open Championship, but he has performed relatively well in each of his four previous appearances. In 2024, he finished T-7 at Royal Troon. In the three previous years, he finished T23, T21 and T8.

The Open Championship will be played at Royal Portrush in Northern Ireland this year, the same venue that hosted the tournament in 2019 when Shane Lowry won his first major. Scheffler has never played a professional round at Royal Portrush, so it will be interesting to see how he does. Scottie wasn’t super familiar with Quail Hollow as well, and that turned out alright for him at the PGA Championship.

Scheffler is the betting favorite for this major as well at +450 odds. He is once again followed by McIlroy (+500), Schauffele (+1000) and DeChambeau (+1200) in the same order.

If the Texan could somehow pull off both of these tournaments, he would be the second player this year to complete the career grand slam after Rory McIlroy did it at the Masters. It seems unlikely, but Scheffler is so consistent that it would not shock anyone. It didn’t feel like he played close to his best golf at the PGA Championship but he still coasted to a five-shot victory. With two majors and a Ryder Cup left this year, Scheffler could follow up an outstanding 2024 season with an even better one in 2025. Only time will tell.
