The defender made 33 Premier League appearances last term and provided two assists, but his side were relegated back to the Championship.
“Besiktas are in talks with Kyle Walker-Peters to join the club as free agent,” Romano posted on X.
“Discussions ongoing with the full-back who’s available after he left Southampton. Besiktas are confident to get the deal done soon.”

He played 30 games in the Eredivisie last term, scoring nine goals and registering one assist.
“Understand Bayer 04 Leverkusen have entered concrete talks for Johan Bakayoko,” he posted on X.
“B04 have been informed about the possibilities and costs. A new winger is set to arrive. Bakayoko is high on their shortlist, as various media have reported in recent days.
“However, Maghnes Akliouche remains their dream target, as exclusively revealed. Initial talks have taken place, but he would be very expensive.”
