Liam and Noel ‘staying in separate hotels’ on Oasis tour

Noel and Liam Gallagher stayed at different hotels 20 miles apart on the first two nights of the Oasis reunion tour, it has been claimed.

The Oasis frontmen put years of animosity behind them to perform together in Cardiff on Friday and Saturday to 75,000 fans at the Principality Stadium.

After the gigs ended, however, the brothers travelled to separate hotels, MailOnline reported.

When the two-hour gig ended on Friday night, Liam left the stage immediately and got into a black SUV. Noel, meanwhile, remained on the stage and waved to fans before walking off with the rest of the band.

Liam, 52, is said to have booked the Celtic Manor Resort, which is located on the edge of Newport.

Meanwhile, Noel, 58, stayed at the Parkgate Hotel, a four-star venue next to the Principality Stadium.

Last month, the hotel suggested on TikTok it might be hosting one of the brothers. “Rumour has it a certain rock ‘n’ roll star is checking in ahead of the big gig at the Principality,” a spokesman said at the time.

Noel is said to have stayed at the hotel with his daughter, Anaïs Gallagher, a 25-year-old model who attended the gig.

It is unclear whether the brothers’ separate hotel bookings were down to tensions in the band.

“The atmosphere was absolutely electric and Liam and Noel were delighted with the first night,” a source told The Sun on Sunday.

“They were a bit shell-shocked. It went better than anyone could have imagined. The lead-up has all been carefully orchestrated, as everyone knows how delicate and fragile Liam and Noel’s relationship is.

“They don’t want to over-expose themselves to each other. Having separate residences is the best option so they can relax in their own space.”

Speaking to The Mail on Sunday, however, another source said: “They can’t stand each other because they still have not forgiven each other. It’s all very frosty and awkward. We all doubt they’ll make it to Australia at this rate.”

As the show began shortly after 8pm, the Gallagher brothers walked onstage side-by-side before clasping their hands together in the air.

For the rest of the set, however, the pair stood about 30ft apart and interacted little.

Oasis broke up in 2009 after a backstage altercation between Noel and Liam at the Rock en Seine festival near Paris.

In the years since, the former bandmates traded insults in public, with Liam deriding his brother as a “potato”.

Last August, they announced that “the guns have fallen silent” and that they would reform to play a tour in 2025.

Its 41 sold-out shows will see the band appear in Britain, America, Australia and South America. According to an analysis by Birmingham City University, it could make Oasis £400 million from ticket sales and merchandise.
