Scottish Premiership side to net significant profit on striker who only joined in January and didn’t score a single goal


ST MIRREN have tonight accepted a bid from Plymouth Argyle for fringe striker Owen Oseni.

The 22 year-old attacker only joined the Buddies in a £120,000 transfer from Gateshead in January.

And the Paisley club have agreed a deal which will see them net a significant profit for the Irishman.

It’s also understood they have a sell-on clause as part of the terms

Oseni scored 13 goals in the National League in the first half of last season.

That saw him snapped up by Stephen Robinson, signing a three and a half year contract.

But despite failing to hit the net in ten Scottish Premiership appearances, he’s now on his way to League One as Pilgrims boss Tom Cleverly’s latest signing as he looks to replace goalscorer Ryan Hardie.
