The main road in Aberbargoed was closed for several hours while accident investigation work took place
A pedestrian has been taken to hospital after being hit by a car in Aberbargoed in a collision which left a road closed for 12 hours. Gwent Police were called to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian on Commercial Street, Aberbargoed at 5.30pm on Wednesday (May 28).
Officers attended, along with paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service. A 34-year-old man, the pedestrian, was taken to hospital for treatment.

Commercial Street was closed until around 6am on Thursday morning for accident investigation work, according to traffic monitoring system Inrix.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: “We received a report of a road traffic collision in Commercial Street, Aberbargoed at around 5.30pm on Wednesday 28 May.
“Officers attended, along with paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service.
“The collision involved a car and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a 34-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment.”
