Spotify has gone offline this afternoon with thousands complaining they can’t access music.
No, don’t worry – it’s not just you. Spotify is down right now. That’s according to angry users of the hugely popular music streaming service, who have rushed to social media to complain about the problems.
The gremlins appear to have started around 1.30 pm and have continued to wreak havoc for over an hour.
Down Detector, an independent website which shows the Status of online services, showed that at its peak, there were over 5,000 complaints per second that Spotify isn’t working. That makes this a pretty major outage.
Those affected by the nightmares have been posting on X (formerly Twitter) with one user named DB saying, “Spotify down again and this app still acting up.”
Another named Dylon added, “OF COURSE Spotify is down when I’m on my break.”
There’s no word on what is causing the issues but things appear to be slowly getting back online with reports dropping.
Some are also saying they are starting to see things working again.
“Ok, false alarm, Spotify was just down – my playlists are back,” said Sophie via X.
