Court: C.D. California
Case: 2:23-cv-6343
The court has set a deadline for claims in the $20M Live Nation settlement. Investors have until September 20, 2025 to submit their claims and receive payment.
What is this settlement?
On July 28, 2023, Politico reported that the DOJ could file an antitrust lawsuit against Live Nation, alleging the company abused its dominance in the live music industry.
Following this news, LYV dropped 7.8%, wiping out $1.75 billion in market value.
Earlier, on February 23, 2023, NPR revealed that the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee had urged the DOJ to investigate Live Nation, prompting a 10.1% decline in LYV.
Following these revelations, Live Nation was sued by shareholders and has agreed to settle by paying $20M to investors.
