Naman Dhir, the Mumbai Indians (MI) middle-order batter, provided the finishing kick to his team’s innings in the all-important match 69th of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 against Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. The right-hander smashed back-to-back sixes on the bowling of Vijaykumar Vyshak in the penultimate over of the MI innings, to provide them with the finishing kick, which meant that they reached 184/7 total in their allotted 20 overs.
After scoring just seven runs in his first eight balls, Naman Dhir had to up the ante in the latter stages of the MI batting effort, and he did it in style on the bowling of Vijaykumar Vyshak. The first six came on the short of a good length delivery, which Dhir managed to hit on the up, and it had enough legs to clear Shreyas Iyer, who was circling underneath the high ball on the long-off boundary.

Vyshak went a bit shorter and closer to the MI middle-order batter on the next ball, which he fetched towards the leg side and managed to clear the ropes comfortably over the long-on boundary for yet another six. After that, Suryakumar Yadav also took the PBKS pacer to the cleaners, to go past yet another fifty in IPL 2025, ensuring that MI went past 180 runs.
