It’s official: After finalizing a sale to Roadside Attractions and Lionsgate, Twinless is heading to theaters on September 5. The film originally premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and won the Audience Award: U.S. Dramatic with star Dylan O’Brien, who also serves as an executive producer, winning the US Dramatic Special Jury Award for Acting.
James Sweeney co-stars in, wrote, directed, and produced Twinless, which follows two young men who meet in a twin bereavement support group and form an unlikely bromance.
“I’m delighted to pair up with Roadside and Lionsgate to bring our film into theaters nationwide,” he said. “I’m holding ample space for Twinless and look forward to overthinking future press quotes.”
Additionally, Miky Lee, Ali Jazayeri, David Gendron, and Liz Destro are executive producers, and Alex Astrachan at Permut Presentations is a co-producer.
