Matheus Cunha and Man City’s Matheus Nunes reacted to a message from Wolves star Rayan Ait-Nouri as exit rumours swirl around the trio.
Following the departure of Gary O’Neil, the Old Gold received an early Christmas present when Vitor Pereira joined on 19 December.
Wolves found themselves in a relegation dogfight and were struggling to string passes together, let alone wins.
However, since the Portuguese managers’ appointment, the Midlands side have steadily risen up the table and thanks to the 3-0 win over Leicester, the Old Gold are now the Premier League‘s most in-form side.
Six wins in a row has propelled Pereira’s side up to 13th in the table and with four games to go, they will have their sites set on overtaking Crystal Palace in 12th.

Vitor Pereira understands the value of having fans backing the team

Pereira was hardly known for his diplomatic skills prior to taking over at the Molineux, after leaving Corinthians due to the ailing health of his mother-in-law, then jumping at the first opportunity to join rivals Flamengo when it presented [The Mirror].

However, the 56-year-old has clearly learnt from that debacle and understands, as well as most, that football is an incredibly momentum-based sport and fans can win their team games with the right level of atmosphere in the stadium.
Taking the time to make the supporters feel connected to their club again has given Wolves a massive boost, and whilst the summer transfer window may prove to be the club’s undoing next season with Cunha and Ait-Nouri linked with moves away, Pereira’s work both on and off the pitch deserves a huge amount of credit.
