On Monday’s instalment of Good Morning Britain, ITV viewers watched Ed Balls and Susanna Reid deliver the latest headlines.
Good Morning Britain viewers saw presenter Ed Balls’s return on Monday’s instalment of the ITV show.
The 58-year-old was away from the programme last week as he addressed his absence at the beginning of the show. However, he also confessed he was in pain after an activity he had done at the weekend.
Touching on his suntanned appearance, Susanna quipped: “Somebody got some warm weather over the weekend!” He replied: “They did! It looks like I’ve been on some exotic beach.
“But actually, to be honest, it was the Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Poole. I was on a sailing boat last week, and it was very sunny, it turned out. I think all the rays were reflecting off of the water.”

Susanna joked that despite wearing sunscreen, he’s come into the studio sunkissed and glowing.
He added: “I also played football on Saturday and I’m in immense pain, I can hardly move having played this football match. So, sunkissed but a bit stiff.”
Elsewhere, Susanna took a moment to mention Ed’s hilarious blunder 14 years ago which is now known as Ed Balls Day.
On April 28 2011, when Ed was shadow chancellor, he accidentally tweeted out his own name while looking for articles of himself.
Since then, people mention the hilarious blunder on Twitter each year, which has now been dubbed as ‘Ed Balls Day’.
Susanna said: “Before we crack on, let me just say, Happy Ed Balls Day!” He replied: “Oh my gosh, well, and happy GMB day.”
The two presenters then informed viewers that it was Good Morning Britain’s 11th anniversary, as Ed highlighted that his day was older than the program.
On Twitter, one person commented: “Happy Ed Balls day to all those who celebrate! Seems to come round quicker every year!”
Someone else wrote: “Happy 15th Ed Balls Day to all who celebrate.” While someone else tweeted: “Happy Ed Balls Day! Celebrate modestly.”
Good Morning Britain continues weekdays on ITV from 6am
